In Washington, Informa Economics released a new study (funded by the Renewable Fuels Foundation) entitled “Analysis of Corn, Commodity, and Consumer Food Prices”. In Missouri, the United Soybean Board has teamed with soybean boards in nine states to promote soybean products at county fairs from paint to biodiesel for carnival rides under its Green Ribbon reimbursement program. Soybean-based insulation foam will even be used for pilot testing the materials for use in urinals.
In California, LS9 announced it will carry out a second phase of research with Chevron Technology Ventures. This program is directed at further improving LS9’s platform technology to produce specific pure hydrocarbon products. This second phase follows Chevron’s initial testing and evaluation of LS9’s technology solution. The terms of the funding program were not disclosed.
