Biomass Technologies lands patent for water-saving ethanol, sugar processing

In Washington, Australia’s Biomass Technologies Pty. Ltd. has been awarded a full US patent by the United States Patent and Trademark Office for its biomass processing technology that the company says greatly improves manufacturing efficiencies in ethanol production and sugar cane processing, including lower water consumption.
