Vale, Embrapa JV for palm oil biodiesel in Mozambique

In Mozambique, Brazil’s Vale and Embrapa have announced that they will jointly invest in palm oil production for biodiesel, expecting to produce 6,000-7,000 liters per hectare by 2014. The project will start with 10,000 hectares and work up to 30,000 hectares, producing 500,000 metric tons of biodiesel annually by 2019.
