In Brazil, Reuters is reporting that Cosan (CZZ.N) will acquire the Zanin Acucar e Alcool sugar and ethanol mill for 378.6 million reais ($224.7 million), including a combination of cash and debt. Zambian gov't to built sugarcane ethanol plant

In Zambia, President Rupiah Banda announced that, following a state visit to Brazil in which Zambian officials explored opportunities in biofuels project development, the government will construct a sugarcane ethanol plant in the country’s Eastern province.
