Clean Hydrogen Partnership signs cooperation deal with Japan’s NEDO

In Belgium, the Clean Hydrogen Partnership said it signed a cooperation agreement with the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) of Japan. The collaboration aims to accelerate the deployment of hydrogen technologies. The agreement explores the possibility of synergies and promoting joint research and demonstration projects. It will further promote the collaboration between research centrers and industries in Europe and Japan, and centers around the vision of how expanding the social implementation of hydrogen technologies can contribute to their common goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, the Clean Hydrogen Partnership said. Areas for collaboration include: exchange of data and knowledge, periodical meetings on areas of mutual interest such as electrolysis, HRS for heavy duties, hydrogen carriers like ammonia and hydrogen combustion, and joint contribution to standardization.
