In Singapore, TotalEnergies Marine Fuels delivered 700 metric tons of 100% Used Cooking Oil Methyl Ester in Singapore to Hyundai Glovis’ vessel, Glovis Cosmos.
This is the first time TotalEnergies has supplied a biofuel bunker composed entirely of UCOME, a second-generation, waste-based fuel sourced in Southeast Asia and certified under the International Sustainability & Carbon Certification system. Previously, the company’s biofuel operations blended UCOME with up to 30% Very Low Sulfur Fuel Oil.
Louise Tricoire, Senior Vice President of Aviation and Marine Fuels at TotalEnergies, said, “I am very pleased to see that our first 100% biofuel bunker was delivered safely and smoothly.”
Building on its history of pioneering low-carbon solutions, TotalEnergies’ successful biofuel delivery in Singapore follows earlier trials in Europe and partnerships with the Global Centre for Maritime Decarbonization.
