Only 8 percent of respondents say that the “status quo” is fine when it comes to public policy support, but there’s no consensus on exactly what those changes should be. Overall, respondents opted for an average of 3 changes to policy, and 53 percent opted for one of 7 different changes in mandates or standards, while 28 percent opted for one of two “more direct spending” measures, while indirect spending in the form of loans and tax credits picked up support at the 20 percent level.
