Anti-corruption police raid Peru’s government palace as part of Petroperú biodiesel investigation

In Peru, En Linea reports the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor ‘s Office has been carrying out the simultaneous search of 15 properties since this morning, as part of the investigations into alleged irregularities in the tender for the purchase of biodiesel between Petroperú and Heaven Petroleum Operators.

The Megaoperativo Resplandor 2022, which is carried out in conjunction with the National Police, includes proceedings in the Government Palace as well as in the homes of characters related to the investigation such as the manager of Heaven Petroleum Operators, Samir Abudayeh; the general manager of Petroperú, Hugo Chávez Arévalo; Karelim López, among others.
