In Washington, FastMarkets reports US Census Data shows biodiesel exports reached its second-highest level in September at 28.5 million gallons, up 72% on the year and 7% from August. Even though September didn’t break the record set earlier this year, it was still the fifth month in a row where exports exceeded imports, with the majority of flows headed to Canada, Peru, and Germany. Canada accounted for more than 90% of total exports, however. Despite the increase in exports, imports also rose to 19.68 million gallons, 12% higher on the year, with most of the volume coming from Germany.
