Mele to work with Brazilian cooperatives to produce green hydrogen from animal waste

In Brazil, EPBR reported the Brazil-German Cooperation for Sustainable Development and the German group Mele announced a public-private partnership with Brazilian agricultural cooperatives Coopersan and Ambicoop, to carry out a pilot plant for green hydrogen (H2V) and derivatives from animal waste. The agreement stipulates the construction of a plant with the capacity to produce 88,000 tons per year of sustainable fuels, using H2V and methane gas from pig manure. The plant should be ready by the end of this year, according to the report. The partnership is financed by the H2Uppp project, a global program commissioned by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK).
