In Norway, Gas World reported that Norwegian supplier of commercial carbon dioxide (CO2), Nippon Gases Norway has signed a long-term deal to extract an undisclosed amount of CO2 from a biogas production facility owned and operated by RENEVO AS. By integrating carbon capture with biogas production, RENEVO can capture CO2 produced during the processing of raw materials such as manure and fish waste, according to the report. Jan Kåre Pedersen, general manager at RENEVO, said: “Users of CO2 in Western Norway can through this agreement gain access to a locally sourced and environmentally friendly product.” “It is important to choose partners and invest in projects that contribute to reducing emissions and the green shift,” said Lars Borgli, Managing Director of Nippon Gases Norway.
