In the Philippines, The Manila Times reported that CEBU Pacific (CEB) is intensifying its effort toward sustainable mobility by adding the eighth Airbus A320neo to its fleet, sourced from Airbus’ final assembly line in Tianjin, China.
According to the report, the A320neo aircraft will operate using sustainable aviation fuel blended at 41%, on its flight from Tianjin to the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila.
“Cebu Pacific has been the Philippine leader in propelling decarbonization in the aviation industry. This aircraft delivery, powered by SAF, demonstrates our commitment to providing safe, convenient, and reliable travel for our customers, while building a greener and more sustainable future,” said Alex Reyes, CEB chief strategy officer.
To support its goal of transitioning to a more fuel-efficient fleet, CEB has ordered 10 brand-new Airbus NEO aircraft, aiming to have an all-NEO fleet by 2028, the report added.
