Bosch lands $103.4M funding for stationary fuel cell systems

In Germany, as the first project in Germany, the federal government approved the “BoschPowerUnits” project as part of the multi-billion European IPCEI Hydrogen (Important Projects of Common European Interest) for the initial industrialization of stationary fuel cell systems. Federal Minister Robert Habeck personally handed over the grant notification during his recent visit to the Bosch Research Center in Renningen With the confirmation from Berlin, the funding is now officially sealed. The project, which is being implemented at various locations in Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria and Saarland, already started at the beginning of 2022 after the approval of an early start of the measures at the company’s own risk. The state of Baden-Württemberg is contributing around 27.5 million euros (30 percent) to the financing of the project. The federal government is contributing 70 percent (for the Baden-Württemberg part around 64.6 million euros).
