In the UK, Travel Daily Media reported that Austrial tour operator Kneissl Touristik is investing in the use of SAF for flights with Austrian Airlines and other airlines of the Lufthansa Group.
Kneissl Touristik takes the contributions made by customers in the months of July and August 2023 to offset the CO2 emissions of their trips and invests them in SAF.
The Lufthansa Group airlines use this amount of SAF to reduce CO2 emissions from air travel. With this investment, Kneissl Touristik, together with the airlines of the Lufthansa Group, is taking an important step to boost the use of SAF, according to the report.
