In Texas, Arkema, a leading producer of dimethyl disulfide (DMDS), is increasing its global production capacity of this additive at its Beaumont site in the United States. DMDS plays a crucial role in converting vegetable oils and agri-food waste into renewable fuels. This €130 million investment aligns with Arkema’s commitment to supporting the transition to renewable energies, strengthens its position in sulfur derivatives, and enhances its capability to serve customers locally across Europe, Asia, and North America. The project is set to begin operations in the second quarter of 2025 and will contribute to job creation in the Beaumont region.
