In Kansas, KWCH reported that the USDA Rural Development announced that $5 million in grants will be awarded to the state of Kansas.
The announcement is part of a larger national announcement that includes projects in 21 other states, according to the report.
The grants will be used to increase the availability of domestic biofuels, providing cleaner and more affordable fuel options at gas pumps, the report added.
The funding will help fuel station improvement projects in Ellis, Topeka and Ottawa.
