In Japan, DHL Express and SCREEN Semiconductor Solutions Co. have signed a long-term agreement for GoGreen Plus, an international shipping service that reduces the carbon emissions through the use of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). With the signing of this agreement, SCREEN Semiconductor Solutions, a Japanese manufacturer of semiconductor equipment will reduce 100% of the CO2 emissions associated with their use of international express shipment which they use for shipping of small parts including maintenance parts. Tony Khan, President and Representative Director of DHL Express Japan said: “For many of our Japanese customers, many of their overseas business partners and customers expect our customers to do more to combat climate change. We are delighted that our GoGreen Plus service will be fully leveraged by SCREEN Semiconductor Solutions to bring down their Scope 3 emissions.” With GoGreen Plus, customers can choose the amount of SAF according to their needs, including the extent of carbon reduction, the availability of certificates and reporting tools. Currently, about 1,500 companies in Japan have adopted the GoGreen Plus, DHL Express said.
