In India, Global Green News reports Cochin International Airport has signed an MOU with Bharat Petroleum Corporation to set up the first green hydrogen production facility co-located at an airport in the world. The plant will produce 1MW of power and should be completed by early next year. The airport is already the world’s first to be completely powered by solar energy and will contribute the renewable energy required to produce the green hydrogen. It currently has 50MW of installed solar power.
