In New York, lifestyle media company Green Matters has given sustainable pet parents a comprehensive list of the latest and greatest in sustainable dog and cat toy brands. Renewable materials were heavily featured.
The list included Beco Pets, a certified B-Corp using bamboo for pet bowls and natural rubber for toys; Ethical Pet, which manufactures durable dog toys from bamboo fibers and has used solar power for over a decade; and Friendsheep, which uses wool to produce toys and is Fair Trade certified.
Honest Pet Products delivers hand-made dog and cat toys made from hemp and sheep wool, and Jax & Bones uses cotton, Tencel, animal-free wool and vegetable dyes in its dog beds. Even jute has made the list, thanks to UK’s Green & Wild’s dye-free toys shipped in eco-friendly packaging.
Other companies made the extensive list for using recycled plastics or upcyled products.
