In Mexico, A21 reported that Mexican airline Aeromexico expects 20% of the SAF used by the company to be locally produced in Mexico.
According to its 2023 Sustainability Report, the airline said it is working on strategies and initiatives to improve its fuel savings program.
“We are committed to collaborating with the main actors involved in creating an ecosystem focused on the viability of the production and commercialization of SAF in the region and in our country,” the company said.
The airline plans to ensure that 5% of the aviation fuels acquired by Aeroméxico in 2030 are sustainable.
