In Brazil, Grupo Potencial is set to invest $34 million in building two, 55km long biofuel pipelines next year, should all permits come through in time. One pipeline will connect the company’s Lapa biodiesel plant in Parana to fuel distributors. It produces around 900 million liters annually and sells around 65 million liters monthly. The pipeline would be the equivalent of thousands of trailer trucks to transport the fuel, with about half of its volume potentially transported via the pipeline.
