Ethanol production rises to 1.064 million bpd as margins remain strong

In Washington, the Energy Information Administration reports ethanol production rose last week to 1.064 million barrels per day, an increase of 21,000 bpd compared to the week prior but mostly steady compared to the year before. Margins for most producers remain strong, encouraging production to increase. Stocks continued to grow, reaching 23.594 million barrels, up 171,000 barrels from the week prior and 1.334 million barrels from the same time last year. Ethanol exports remained strong at 105,000 barrels a day.
