Japan Airlines and ENEOS ink SAF purchase agreement

In Japan, Traicy reported that Japan Airlines (JAL) and ENEOS have entered into a purchase agreement for sustainable aviation fuel. Under the agreement, ENEOS will import SAF and supply it to Japan Airlines, according to the report. The Japanese airline has set a target to replace 1% of its total fuel load with SAF by the fiscal year 2025, and 10% by 2030, and is proceeding with the procurement of SAF. The report also noted that ENEOS is advancing the construction of an integrated system for SAF, from raw material procurement to manufacturing and sales, and is considering the production of SAF at its Wakayama plant.
