In France, Renault’s New Master has been crowned the “International Van of the Year 2025,” recognized for its innovative multi-energy platform and “Aerovan” design. This prestigious title, awarded by the IVOTY jury, marks a significant achievement, particularly for the hydrogen-powered Renault Master H2-Tech, which becomes the first hydrogen van to win the accolade.
The new Renault Master offers a flexible platform that supports diesel, electric, and hydrogen powertrains, setting a new standard in efficiency and versatility. The hydrogen version, developed in collaboration with HYVIA—a joint venture between Renault Group and Plug—will be available across Europe by the end of 2025.
The IVOTY jury praised the vehicle’s advanced aerodynamics, user-friendly design, and cutting-edge technology, all of which contribute to increased space, safety, and comfort. Jarlath Sweeney, Chairman of the IVOTY jury, highlighted that the new Master meets the future’s demands and sets a high benchmark for the industry.
Heinz-Jürgen Löw, Head of LCV Renault Group, expressed pride in the recognition, stating that the New Master continues Renault’s 120-year legacy of creating innovative, customizable commercial vehicles tailored to professional customers’ needs. This recognition further solidifies Renault’s leadership in the hydrogen mobility space.
