In the Netherlands, Offshore Energy reported that Sembcorp Green Hydrogen India, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Singaporean state-owned energy giant Sembcorp Industries, is in discussions with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) to enter into a definitive joint venture agreement for renewable energy and green hydrogen projects across India. The report noted that the partnership aims to support India’s long-term development goals, with Sembcorp claiming that it is well-positioned to spearhead decarbonization initiatives with BPCL to drive India’s energy transition. BPCL is an Indian firm owned by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. It is engaged in the business of refining of crude oil and marketing of petroleum products, the report added.
