Chinese biodiesel exports to EU fall 91% in July

In China, Palm Oil Magazine reports Quantum Commodity Intelligence data shows biodiesel exports to Europe fell 91% in July compared to June at just 9,835 metric tons following the imposition of anti-dumping duties by the European Commission. That was the lowest level seen since April 2021. There are concerns however about gaps in the rules regarding sustainability certifications that traders may be able to exploit in order to circumvent the anti-dumping duties, causing concern amongst the European industry.
