In Brazil, Noticias Agricolas reported that Brazil’s 2024/25 soybean crop was estimated at a record 172.1 million tons, up 800,000 tons from the February forecast, according to a survey by Agroconsult.
The projection indicates that the Brazilian soybean harvest will grow 10.7% compared to the previous cycle, or 16 million tons, after large producers such as Mato Grosso and Goiás were favored by good weather conditions.
Agroconsult also cited a 2.1% increase in the planted area, or 1 million hectares, compared to the previous harvest, the report added.
