In the UK, Intelligent Energy, an UK-based fuel cell technology company, and IBT, a South Korean energy solutions provider, signed a collaboration agreement to jointly develop a 100kW hydrogen fuel cell-based generator, certified for the Korean market.
The new 100kW fuel cell generator will be based on Intelligent Energy’s evaporatively cooled IE-DRIVE fuel cell technology and tailored to meet local certification requirements and performance standards in Korea, the IK firm said.
“Partnering with IBT allows us to bring our zero-emission technology to one of the most forward-thinking hydrogen markets in the world and offer a practical solution for zero-emission power, for off-grid and backup power applications” said Greg Harris, CCO of Intelligent Energy.
The 100kW generator will target applications in critical infrastructure, remote power, and backup systems, and will be ready for certification and initial deployment in 2026, the firm added.
