In Spain, Repsol has signed an agreement with Neuron Bio to purchase 50% of NEOL Biosolutions, S.A, formed from a segregation of Neuron Bio’s current bioindustrial unit. The partnership seeks to speed up industrial scale development to produce advanced biofuels previously developed by Neuron.
NEOL’s assets include a platform for research and development of bioprocesses (Microbiotools by Neuron), several patented biofuels generation processes (MicroBiOil) and a pilot plant for demonstration purposes.
