In Georgia, documents uncovered through the Freedom of Information Act have revealed a scathing appraisal of Range Fuels’s proposed facility that later won a $75 million loan guarantee as a “high risk venture”. The documents allege that the there was pressure to get the deal done before George W. Bush left office despite concerns of the risks behind the project.
