API launches anti-RFS2 ad blitz – calls for “full repeal”.

In Washington, the American Petroleum Institute announced a new advertising campaign with the central element being a full repeal of the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS). Following the announcement of the API campaign to attack the RFS, Tom Buis CEO of Growth Energy released the following statement:

“The lengths to which Big Oil will go to protect their absolute lock on fuels market are astounding.  Just the other day, API discussed how the RFS was broken, citing the blend wall as the primary challenge in a workable RFS. However, when it comes to the blend wall, Big Oil need only look in the mirror to see who is maintaining the status quo by protecting it.”
