In Washington, the Department of Energy’s Bioenergy Technologies Office issued a “save the date” announce for Bioenergy 2015, in Washington DC June 23-24. “Hear directly from White House leadership, top government agency officials, members of Congress, industry movers and shakers, and national laboratory and academic researchers operating at the cutting edge of the bioeconomy,” the DOE noted in its heads-up for what has become an annual must-attend on the industry conference circuit. This year, the conference will discuss critical issues in bioenergy, including “Impact of changing oil prices, Vehicle/fuels co-optimization, the Future of the Renewable Fuel Standard , the Environmental benefits of biofuels, Innovative technologies and emerging pathways, U.S. manufacturing in a global marketplace — among many other topics.” This year, the Clean Energy Research and Education Foundation (CEREF) will be co-host for Bioenergy 2015.
