The Digest Bioeconomy Index, an index of publicly traded advanced bioeconomy stocks, fell 0.79 percent to 56.33 as ethanol equities sank. For the day, Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) shed 6.39 percent to $6.30, while Aemetis (AMTX) lost 3.41 percent to $2.56. Among other equities, Metabolix (MBLX) gained 5.88 percent to $3.06. Overall, declines led advances 3 to 1 for the day.
