The Digest Bioeconomy Index, an index of publicly traded advanced bioeconomy stocks, fell 1.84 percent to 54.56 as ethanol equities declined. For the day, Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) dumped 10.36 percent to $5.80, while The Andersons (ANDE) lost 8.52 percent to $33.71. Among other equities, Syngenta (SYT) surged 5.17 percent to $71.83. Overall, declines led advances by a 5 to 2 ratio for the day.
