The Digest Bioeconomy Index, an index of publicly traded advanced bioeconomy stocks, gained 1.55 percent to 49.78 as advanced bio jumped. For the day, BioAmber (BIOA) soared 13.53 percent to $3.86, while Monsanto (MON) dumped 7.77 percent to $85.30. Among other equities, Solazyme (SZYM) rallied 4.46 percent to $1.64. Overall, advances led declines by a 2 to 1 ratio for the day.
