Greenergy gets $260 million equity investment from Brookfield Business Partners

In the UK, Greenergy announced that it has reached agreement for Brookfield Business Partners to invest in the business with the aim of accelerating growth with a total investment of $260 million. As the purchase price was funded by both debt and equity, the total transaction amount is higher, and confidential.

Existing Greenergy management shareholders will invest alongside Brookfield Business Partners and will retain a 15% share in the business. As part of the process all existing non-management shareholders will exit the business. There will be no change to company strategy and the current management team will remain in place.
