January 18, 2023 |

In the UK, the Somerset County Gazette reports that in December Adapt Biogas successfully pumped gas from its anaerobic digester Evercreech Renewable Energy in Shepton Mallet into the local gas grid operated by Wales and West Utilities for the first time. The project will produce biogas from 95,000 metric tons of food and organic waste annually, providing enough energy to heat 8,000 homes. The project is funded by parent company Macquarie Capital and is now open to receive waste from local food and beverage companies.
