Alliance for Zero Carbon Heating calling for HVO’s inclusion in national budget

In Ireland, RTE reports that the Alliance for Zero Carbon Heating is calling for HVO to be included in the budget set for release on Tuesday as an alternative for heating fuel. Current figures show that the transition to heat pumps as promoted by the government, which in many cases requires a “deep retrofit”, is costing upwards of $40,000 per household beyond the grants provided. Those who don’t shift to heat pumps will be subject to ever-increasing carbon taxes.
