In Kentucky, the Lane Report says that the state’s $10 million tax credit program supporting biofuels and biochemicals is in effect for another year. Since 2020 when the state legislature opened the program beyond renewable diesel or biodiesel, chemicals produced in Kentucky with at least 50% biobased content eligible for up to 5 cents per molecular pound of weight of renewable chemicals. More than 30 chemicals are specified under the tax credit program. Applications for the program are due by Jan. 15.
