#5 Smoke weed, save bees with seed-bearing doobies

In Michigan, cannabis company Golden Shores Cannabis Co. has added biodegradable beeswax tips containing wildflower seeds to its pre-rolled joints.

“So, as soon as you’re done smoking it, you throw it in the grass and it’ll plant a flower,” said Jeff Dotson, president of Golden Shores, tells Fox News Detroit. “It’s a very hearty plant, so it’ll grow almost in any kind of soil.”

Jimmie Caudill, director of sales at Detroit’s The REEF, told the news outlet the cannabis industry generates large amounts of waste. “We’re trying to stop how much waste there is, so with this eco-friendly tip it’s going to help change that stigma,” he adds. The REEF is one of several Michigan stores that sell Golden Shores’ products, which also include edibles.

Other products that have been launched to contain seeds include flags, pencils, and stationary.
