In Mexico, Mexico Now reported that according to Javier Villazón Salem, general director of Aeropuertos y Servicios Auxiliares (ASA), Mexico has the potential to start producing sustainable aviation fuel.
Aeropuertos y Servicios Auxiliares (ASA) is a state company that owns 19 airports in Mexico.
However, the executive said that a public policy is needed to promote technology transfer and research, as well as technological development for the production of SAF in the country.
He also stressed the need for incentives and access to financing for the sustainable production of raw materials and their diversification, in order to involve small entrepreneurs.
