Australia allocates $20.4m into SAF industry

In Australia, Government News reported that the federal government is providing grants for a total of $20.4 million via its renewable investment agency ARENA to boost the domestic sustainable aviation fuel industry.

The funding will be available to industries that are looking for ways of developing their products, climate change minister Chris Bowen said.

“These grant applications will open in the coming weeks and will be open until November.So I invite people who are interested in developing Australia’s sustainable aviation fuel industry to apply for the funding,” he said.

“We know there are people, particularly in industries like the sugar industry that are looking for new ways to develop their products and the feedstock with sustainable aviation fuel is an exciting opportunity for many of them,” Bowen added.
