Beast Mode Yeast Load, Least MO’d; Novonesis’ new Innova Delta, non-GM yeast for Biofuel producers

In Denmark, Novonesis, formerly Novozymes, has launched its latest and most exciting development in yeast technology— Innova Delta.

Yes, they’re back in Beast Mode, and the beast mode yeast loads now have that new twist to them, a non-modified organism, that’s the Least MO’d in our headline today.

Innova Delta ADY allows plants using non-GM yeasts to achieve operational performance on par with their global peers using the most advanced GM yeasts. Innova Delta delivers step-change improvements in ethanol production, reliability and efficiency, empowering ethanol producers to reset their benchmark for production, business, and sustainability goals. Developed using MicroBiogen’s unique breeding technology, Innova Delta carries elite genetics for improved robustness and reduced glycerol production.

Performance data

Innova Delta increases ethanol yield +2% on average and reduces operational upsets through exceptional robustness to fermentation stressors, safeguarding plants and maximizing their investments. With exceptionally fast kinetics and high ethanol tolerance, biofuel producers can reduce their fermentation times up to 25% to maximize operational efficiency. Innova Delta, used in an optimized fermentation recipe, can reduce exogenous nitrogen demand for urea and/or ammonia up to 90%, as well as reduce or eliminate the need for additional and costly chemicals and nutritional supplements which negatively affect ethanol plant’s carbon footprint. Producers can experience reliably higher yields with high temperature tolerance up to 36°C and unmatched resistance to organic acids all while increasing confidence in their ethanol conversion and efficiency. Innova Delta is designed for fermentations greater than 50 hours and has been proven through rigorous laboratory and full-scae plant trials.
