In Malaysia, biodiesel has taken another hit as palm oil prices increased and weighed on demand for using the oil as biofuel feedstock. The CPO/fossil diesel spread has moved back into positive numbers at nearly $8.50 per metric ton. With diesel prices cheaper than palm oil, demand drops for blending biodiesel.
