By 2050, no matter how much carbon reduction or carbon sequestration we accomplish, there’ll be too much GGEs in the sky for an optimal climate, and that means the big game will be carbon removal. ARPA-E is working up a project to address it, could be 20 gigatonnes per year, think in terms of a multi-trillion dollar industry annually. Think carbon negative technologies and outright CO2 capture. The big question, is where is all the carbon going to go?
