In Spain, Residuos Profesional reported that Bioenergy Ibérica, a company specialized in the construction of renewable energy projects and waste management, has built a biogas plant in the facilities of the Queizuar cheese factory, in the town of Bama, in A Coruña region. The plant, which will be inaugurated in early 2024, will generate 3,000,000 kWh of clean energy per year, avoiding the emission of more than 600 tons of CO2.
“We are very grateful to Queizuar for having trusted us to make a circular project a reality that will improve its energy balance with the use of its own energy, making it more competitive and resilient to the changes that are occurring in the global energy market,” said José Luis Romero, Director of Operations at Bioenergy Ibérica.
