The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, fell 0.96 percent to 75.07 as ethanol and advanced biofuels retreated. For the day, Solazyme (SZYM) dropped 4.31 percent to $9.99, while Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) dumped 4.47 percent to $13.03. Among other equities, Ceres (CERE) rebounded 4.33 percent to $0.65. Overall, declines led advances 9 to 7 for the day.
