The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, retreated 2.44 percent to 77.56 on a globalequities swoon. For the day, Valero (VLO) dumped 4.54 percent to $51.91, while Amyris (AMRS) tumbled 6.65 percent to $3.93. Among other equities, BioAmber gave up 8.48 percent to $10.68. Overall, declines led advances 3 to 1 for the day.
