In Brazil, Sao Paulo’s the Centre for Advanced Applied Economics, CEPEA, says anhydrous ethanol prices fell slightly to $1.83 per gallon last week while hydrous prices rose about 1% to $1.99 a gallon, without accounting for taxes, thanks to traditional market tightness during the inter-harvest period that has seen producers offer less supply to the market. Trade negotiations have been slow this month, with buyers relying on supplies they bought weeks ago, providing limited pressure to speed up forward purchases.
