In Berkely, California, bee-free honey startup MeliBio has partnered with Pow-Bio to use artificial intelligence to scale its precision fermentation process.
Founded in 2020, MeliBio already has several products on the market based on its bee-free honey and is hoping biomanufacturing startup Pow.Bio can help accelerate scale-up.
“Working with cutting-edge science, particularly that aided by precision fermentation, has always been part of our long-term technological vision at MeliBio,” MeliBio co-founder and CTO Aaron Schaller told Green Queen. “Pow.Bio is helping MeliBio further understand and optimize our precision fermentation approach as we scale towards manufacturing readiness. Pow.Bio is unique in that their fermentation platform utilizes AI to maximize efficiency, which we plan to explore further in our work together.”
